Myndgard Share ยท For counselling services
Myndgard Share is a mental-health support service for university counselling services: students in counselling check in and complete short questionnaires such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7 in the Myndgard app, and with their consent their counsellor sees how they are doing in a web portal between sessions.
That way each session can start from where the student really is. Share is offered by university and college counselling services, by invitation, to students aged 18 and over.
How it works
The counselling service invites a student to Myndgard by email. Share is invitation-only, for students aged 18 and over.
On the Myndgard app, the student records their mood, completes questionnaires such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7, logs movement and takes a few minutes for mindfulness.
With the student's consent, their counsellor sees check-ins, scores and trends in the portal between sessions, and is alerted when an answer indicates risk.
For students
Students know the app simply as Myndgard. It helps them see how they are doing, in their own words and over time.

Check-ins and questionnaires
Share uses widely used, validated questionnaires such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7, alongside a simple daily mood check-in.
Questionnaire scores are screening measures. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Movement and mindfulness
Guided time with calming soundscapes.
For counsellors and clinicians
Counsellors sign in to the Myndgard portal from any modern browser to follow the students assigned to them.

Privacy and consent
Share only works with the student's agreement, and they can change their mind at any time.
At first sign-in we explain what Myndgard does with their information and ask for consent. They can change it at any time in Privacy & consent.
Assigned clinicians see what they need to support the student. Access ends when they are no longer assigned.
Students can export their data or delete their account themselves, from their profile.
Reminders are optional, and notification text is kept generic.
Data protection
All traffic is encrypted. Clinical content, such as questionnaire answers, notes, messages and journal entries, is also encrypted in our database with separately managed keys.
Share data is hosted in the EU, in Ireland. Access is restricted by role, limited to the clinicians assigned to each student, and logged.
No advertising or tracking in the app or portal. We do not sell student data, and we do not use AI to process it.
Safety
Share supports the care a counselling service already provides; it does not replace it. Risk alerts help a clinician follow up, but alerts and messages are not monitored around the clock. Anyone in danger or needing urgent help should call 112 or 999. Samaritans are free on 116 123 at any time, or text 50808 for free 24/7 support in Ireland. The university's own emergency contacts are always available in the app.

No. Myndgard does not use artificial intelligence or large language models to process personal information. Questionnaires are scored automatically using their published scoring rules, and some answers, such as those indicating thoughts of self-harm, automatically alert the clinician; these alerts support the clinician's judgement and do not make decisions on their own.
Yes. Students can export their data or delete their account themselves from their profile. Deletion signs them out immediately, and their personal data is permanently erased 30 days later. See delete your account.
