About
Myndgard Limited is an Irish company that builds mental-health support products for university counselling services. Myndgard Share helps students in counselling and their counsellors keep a clear, shared view of wellbeing between sessions. Myndgard Discover gives students on the waitlist a short daily programme on understanding emotions.
Why we started
Depression and anxiety affect hundreds of millions of people worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. People often do not notice the early signs in themselves, and when they are struggling they can be less likely to reach out.
Depression and anxiety are treatable, and noticing changes earlier gives students and their counsellors more time to respond.

Our vision
We want students and their counsellors to have as objective a view as possible of how a student is doing, so they can work together to ease the onset of depression or anxiety.
Myndgard Share brings together what students record day to day, such as mood, movement and rest, with standard clinical questionnaires completed remotely. Students can see where things stand and take practical steps, and their counsellor can follow along between sessions.
Myndgard Discover starts earlier, for students still waiting for a first appointment: a short daily programme on how emotions work, as one step in a stepped-care approach. Their university sees only anonymous, cohort-level figures.

Please note
Myndgard is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not an emergency service. We support counselling services in the care they provide; we do not replace care in your community. We have drawn on best-practice guidelines in building Myndgard, but please review anything about diagnosis or treatment with a professional, and do not ignore professional advice or delay seeking treatment because of something you have read on or accessed through Myndgard.
