Delete your Myndgard account

This page explains how to delete your Myndgard account and what happens to your data. You do not need the app to request deletion.

This page is for the Myndgard app and web portal. If you use Myndgard Discover, delete your account from Settings in the Discover app; see the Discover privacy policy.

Option 1: in the Myndgard app

1. Open the Myndgard app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Tap Delete account, enter your password, and confirm.

Option 2: in the web portal

1. Sign in at https://app.myndgard.com.
2. Go to Account settings → Privacy.
3. Choose Delete my account, enter your password, and confirm.

Option 3: without the app or portal

Email privacy@myndgard.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm your identity and process your request within one month, usually much sooner.

What happens next

• Straight away: your account is deactivated, you are signed out on every device, and notifications stop.
• After 30 days: all of your personal data is permanently erased. This includes your profile, questionnaire answers and scores, clinical information, check-ins, journal entries, messages, movement, mindfulness and health-app data. Encrypted backups are overwritten within a further 14 days.
• What we keep: a record that consent was given and withdrawn, with your identity removed, because the law requires us to be able to show that consent was obtained.

If you change your mind within the 30 days, email support@myndgard.com and we will restore your account.

Your care provider (your university, college or practice) may keep its own clinical records outside Myndgard under its own obligations. Contact them directly about those records.

Want a copy of your data first? Use Export my data in the app (Profile) or the portal (Account settings → Privacy) before deleting.
